Quick Tips

  1. One thing I have noticed when taking photos of close up things is it is easier to auto-focus when you are zoomed in. For example, reckon there was a flower I wanted to take a photo of, then first of all I would get up close to it, if it doesn't auto-focus and I was feeling lazy, then I would take a step back and zoom in then try to focus into the flower again. This works most of the time for me, however most of the time I would just swap my lens. Note: This Technique only works with the manual zoom lens, so if you have a digital camera, you cannot use this method.
  2. On digital cameras, the company boasts about it's high megapixel count and how 'clear' the photo will be. They sell the camera at high prices, and when a person buys it, they are slightly dissapointed in the quality of the pictures, and are not very interested in zooming into the photo. The best thing to do now is to go onto your camera settings and set the photo size to about half or less the maximum photo size and start taking pictures, and you will instantly see a huge inprovment in colour and noise reduction in the photo, and how you can quickly capture everything without waiting for a picture to save. It works absolutely amazing. Here is a panorama I took with my old digital camera with size settings low, and I was suprised by the colour in the end result. (notice the clouds):
